Reduced fixture programme this weekend with only the U15s & U16s in league action…

AFC Rushden & Diamonds U15s   3 v 1   Oxford City F.C. U15s
Played at the Malcolm Arnold Academy, Northampton

Both teams made strong starts but Diamonds scored first, but a few minutes later Oxford equalised. The 2nd quarter was quite even, although Oxford missed a penalty. Diamonds increased their lead in the 3rd quarter, and took control of the match, adding a 3rd early in the final quarter. A great game from both teams.

AFC Rushden & Diamonds U16s   0 v 1   Corby Town F.C. U16s
Played at the Malcolm Arnold Academy, Northampton

Corby were quicker out of the blocks and took an early lead through sloppy defending from the home side. Diamonds created several chances that could of got them back into the game. They certainly played the better football throughout the pitch, but failed to convert their chances. Corby battled hard to take the win.
