Before the FA Vase game against Fakenham Town, AFC Rushden & Diamonds manager Mark Starmer presented striker Alfie Taylor with a framed print of Mal Swinden’s picture recording his celebrations following his historic first ever goal for AFC Rushden & Diamonds in the game against Thrapston Town on August 18th 2012. The presentation was sponsored by Go For Leisure.

On the same day the new Dog & Duck Club Shop was open for business, where you will be able to order a copy of this memorable picture in various formats – you’ll see a copy of the picture behind the counter, where there will be details of formats, sizes and prices shortly.

This facility is being shared with Wellingborough Town FC, so you will be able to purchase memorabilia from both clubs when visiting the Dog & Duck. It can be found immediately to your right as you pass through the turnstiles.

The opening of this new shop will allow the existing Doughboys Club Shop, near Dale’s Bar, to be developed as an additional Tea Bar. AFC R&D would like to thank all those who helped to supply, install, decorate and setup this new outlet.

AFC Rushden & Diamonds also has an online club shop, accessible here.
