Getting Muddy For The Diamonds

Ten of the volunteers, coaches and parents from the AFC Rushden & Diamonds Community section are taking part in the Wolf Run this weekend, which involves 10km of wild cross country running, sliding and wading through muddy terrain and woodlands.

As the Club is a registered Community Benefit Society we are reliant on donations, sponsorship and fundraising to generate money for equipment, football kit, training days and facilities such as changing rooms for the Community side of the club. This is why these 10 people who are involved in some way with the club decided to take part in the Wolf Run 2015 on Sunday 14th June at Stanford Hall on the Northants / Leicestershire border.

To make a donation to recognise the challenge these adventurers are facing please visit the donation page here. They ask that you might give generously, as for most of them it is the first time they have run this distance, let alone run it cross country and over muddy and challenging terrain! Thanks in advance for your donations.

News of this challenge coincides with the launch of the new AFC Rushden & Diamonds Youth website – http://www.afcdiamondsyouth.com/ – which is where you can now find details for all the community teams and activities at the club. There are details of the teams at all age groups from Little Diamonds upwards, as well as the other teams that come under the community umbrella, including information on playing venues and how to get involved.
