Lewis Leslie joins AFC Rushden & Diamonds

AFC Rushden & Diamonds are pleased to announce the signing of 24-year-old midfielder Lewis Leslie, who joins the club from Cogenhoe United. Lewis came through the youth ranks at Compton Park to become a regular first-team player. Although he missed the 2013-14 season due to an ankle injury he recovered to play 41 times for the Cooks last season, scoring 12 goals. Diamonds fans will recall he scored the first goal for the visitors when they drew 3-3 at the Dog & Duck at the end of last season.

Subject to registration procedures being completed Lewis will go into the squad for tonight’s game at home to Leighton Town.
