AFC Rushden & Diamonds are pleased to announce that Lewis Wilson has signed for the club. Lewis is a 23-year-old forward player who has been playing at Step 4 for Arlesey Town.

Lewis started his career as a junior with Rushden & Diamonds FC, and after impressing at Newport Pagnell Town he was signed on Northampton Town’s books during the 2012-13 season. After appearing for the Cobblers in League Two he was loaned out to Kettering Town, joining the Poppies directly in the following season. Since then he has been with St Neots Town and Oxford City before joining Arlesey. He scored the opening goal in a game that ended in a 6-1 victory for the Diamonds at the Dog & Duck in February 2016.

Subject to the normal registration procedures, Lewis will join the Diamonds squad for the game against Sheffield FC on Saturday.
