AFC Rushden & Diamonds striker Nabil Shariff has advised the club that he has accepted an offer from Alfreton Town to join them and play for them in the National League North (Step 2).

Diamonds Manager Andy Peaks commented on the news – “Nabil has been fantastic for the club, and we are sorry to lose him, but I can understand him wanting to play at a higher level, Alfreton made him an offer that we couldn’t match and he couldn’t refuse. I am sure I will keep in touch and wish him all the best for the future.”

Since making his debut in April 2016, Nabil has played 73 games for the club, including 57 league games, scoring 40 goals. This season he has scored 14 goals in 18 appearances.
