AFC Rushden & Diamonds are pleased to announce the signing of Joe Henderson, who joins the club from Daventry Town on a “dual-registration” basis. Having recently celebrated his 20th birthday, Joe is 6’1” tall and primarily plays in the centre of defence, starting his career with Coventry City. He made a substitute appearance for the Sky Blues in a Championship game in the 2011-12 season, followed by a start and a substitute appearance for them in League One in 2012-13, before going on loan to local clubs Bedworth United and Nuneaton Town (see here for details and a picture). This season he has been with Daventry Town, making thirteen appearances in all competitions since August as well as being registered with Woodford United (although he has not played for The Reds).
Joe will go into the squad for tomorrow’s game at Boston Town.
