AFC Rushden & Diamonds will subsidise the cost of supporters coach travel to the FA Cup 4th Qualifying Round Tie away to Barwell FC on Saturday 24th October.
Instead of the previously advertised prices, supporters can travel to Leicestershire for just £5 Members, £7.50 for Non-Members, and £2.50 for U16’s with the club picking up the tab for the remaining travel costs.
Chairman Ralph Burditt told afcdiamonds.com. “The fans have been brilliant, not only this season but ever since the formation of the club. They follow the team everywhere in huge numbers and I know how much their support means to the players and management team and how much difference it can make to their performance. I am well aware of just how lucky AFC R&D are to have such a loyal following and with the FA Cup 4th Qualifying Round game being one of the biggest in the club’s short history, plus not the easiest to get to in terms of transport links, it seemed like the right time for the club to give something back to supporters as a thank you for all that they give to the club. I am hoping that there will be a good take-up of this offer and that we can create a real carnival atmosphere at the game. If ever we needed the support of our “12th man”, it’s at Barwell.”
There are currently two coaches running to the game with the possibility of further coaches should there be sufficient demand. Supporters are advised to book early to guarantee their seat.
