AFC Rushden & Diamonds U12s 8 v 2 Histon F.C. U12s
Played at the Malcolm Arnold Academy, Northampton
This was the first time these teams have met. In an exciting start that had chances either way, it was Diamonds who took the lead with 3 quick goals. It was 5-0 by half time – Will Jones scoring 4 – 8-0 by the end of the 3rd quarter despite some good football from Histon, where they made this tell and got their rewards with 2 goals in the final period.

AFC Rushden & Diamonds U16s 2 v 1 Burton Albion Sils U16s
Played at the Malcolm Arnold Academy, Northampton
Played on the 3g pitch at the MAA made for an interesting change of game. Burton made all the early running and took a deserved lead, but from nowhere Diamonds found themselves level at the end of the 1st period. It remained 1-each with two further closely-contested quarters, before a great shot saw Diamonds grab a winner!
