Aynsley spoke exclusively to afcdiamonds.com “i am really looking forward to playing for the Diamonds again, I only managed 20 games last season due to an injury so I can’t wait to get back to enjoying my football again. I am looking forward to working with Starms again, once pre season is out of the way as he works you hard! I think I will be able to help the players around get organised and hopefully we can have a very successful season.
From the early stages I’ve seen that off the field the people behind the scenes are very dedicated and motivated to get their club back to where it belongs. They have a lot of passion and belief and I hope I can do my bit as well.”
Highly-rated Goalkeeper Quincy Shorunmu joins the club having played for Northampton Spencer in United Counties League Premier Division last season under AFC R&D Assistant Manager Andy Peaks.
Quincy told afcdiamonds.com “I am delighted to join the club. I have worked with Andy before and he’s a great manager, I am really looking forward to getting started and can’t wait to play in front of the fans.”
