AFC Rushden & Diamonds Kit Sponsors Launch Evening

With the first pre-season games less than a month away, AFC Rushden & Diamonds staged a launch evening on Tuesday to showcase their new sponsors and their new playing kit.

Our new First team shirt sponsor Hevey Building Supplies were present, as were the new back-of-shirt sponsors Fuelsell.

Hevey Building Supplies are Northampton’s largest independent Builders’ Merchant, and representing them at the launch were co-founders Mark Mulvey and Neil Hemmington. In an interview with John Gregory they gave some background to their company, mentioning that they deliver within a 50-mile radius of Northampton, and that they already have a lot of customers that are “Diamonds Die-Hards”. They also sponsor the Northamptonshire Cricket League and sponsor one of the stands at Sixfields. Their strong involvement with grass-roots sports led them to their relationship with AFC Rushden & Diamonds from when the club was formed, and they were pleased to be able to do something at a higher profile with the club when they agreed to the shirt sponsorship arrangement. Mark and Neil also stressed how impressed they were with the marketing of the club and the breadth of expertise behind the scenes at the club, as well as the strength of the fanbase.

Fuelsell are one of the UK’s leading suppliers of smokeless fuels, coal and logs, and are a family run business with headquarters in Norfolk, supplying to all areas of the UK. They were represented by co-owner Steve Filsell who had travelled over to the launch from their base in Norfolk. Steve highlighted they can supply anything you might need to fuel an open fire or a multi-fuel appliance in the home. Steve has supported the club through thick and thin from the Rushden Town days, being born in Rushden, and was pleased to be able to support AFC Rushden & Diamonds by becoming the back-of-shirt sponsor.

You can view these video interviews here. Our Commercial Team also have a number of new sponsorship opportunities for the 2014-15 season, and these are outlined on their new webpage here.

The new first team shirt was on show, complete with the new sponsor logos, modelled by our three new signings – Jason Turner, Elliott Lamb-Johnson and Adam Confue. This shirt design was chosen from a shortlist by AFC Rushden & Diamonds Club Members in a poll in the Members area of this website. The new home shirt has been introduced for the 2014-15 and 2015-16 seasons, and are now available to order online at the Club Shop.

There was also a chance to hear from two of the Diamonds’ new signings, as well as Manager Andy Peaks and his new Assistant Manager Paul Lamb, and these interviews will be transcripted and made available on this website in the next few days.
