AFC Rushden & Diamonds / MAA youths lost their final game of 2014 when they went down by 3 goals to 2 against Manor Schools Sports College in a local derby game at the Malcolm Arnold Academy.
After going a goal behind the Diamonds youngsters fought back to lead through goals from Matt Pinder and Ryan Kirk. However they were unable to defend this lead and two further goals from Manor School sealed their victory.
Darren Purse’s side now take a Christmas and New Year break from League action, and the next league game is scheduled for 14th January at Derby College followed by a game on 21st January that sees the return game at Manor School. Addtionally, subject to confirmation, they expect to play in the next round of the David Joyce NFA U18 Cup in the week beginning 12th January, with that game due to be played at the Dog & Duck against Rushden & Higham U18.
