The AFC Rushden & Diamonds Golf Day was held on Friday September 27th at Rushden Golf Club, and it proved to be a huge success, raising £1045 for Club funds.
The weather was superb and Starms even had his shorts on! He was joined by Diamonds players Sam Brown, Jake Gillingwater and Jack Wisniewski.
We are very grateful to the other golfers who participated, and who said they had had a great day.
The prizes were presented by Diamonds Manager Mark Starmer, who also took part in a question and answer session, with Mike Neville being the master of ceremonies, adding his own wit to make the evening such a success.
Our grateful thanks go to Barclaycard, Team 6, Revolution Sports (GB) Ltd, EACS and Roger Norman Ltd for their hole sponsorships, to Mike Steele and Roger Bailey for their generous donations, Harts Brewery and Ian Foreman for providing the Prizes, and to the many people who donated raffle prizes.
Further thanks must go to all those who helped with organising, promoting and hosting the event.
We will hopefully be holding another one next year.
