Our Opponents

Biggleswade Town play in the Southern League Premier Division, where they finished in 19th place last season. They are known as the Waders, and were formed in 1874. They moved from local leagues to the Eastern Counties League in 1955, and then to the UCL in 1964 and on to the South Midlands League in 1980. They moved into their current ground in 2008, and promptly won promotion to Step 4 and the Southern League. They won promotion to the Southern League Premier in 2013.

This will be the first meeting between the two sides (The Diamonds have faced the other local team Biggleswade United before).

The Waders website is here and their twitter feed is here. They are managed by Chris Nunn.
