Our Opponents

Boston Town Football Club was established as Boston FC in 1964 and began life in the Lincolnshire League, before playing in various leagues including the Central Alliance, Eastern Counties League, Midland League / Northern Counties East League and Central Midlands League before joining the UCL Premier in 1991. They reached the semi-final of the FA Vase in 1993-94, and shortly afterwards became known as Boston Town. They won the UCL Premier in 1994-95 and 2000-01.

The Poachers club website is here, and they have a Twitter feed here. Their home colours are blue shirts and shorts, and until recently they were managed by Nathan Collins, but he stepped down in the past week, being replaced by Dan Barrett, who stepped up from the post of assistant manager. Barrett is continuing to be available as a player with Carl Foreman as his number two. Ex-RDFC player Daryl Clare was on the management team until recently. This season they recorded a notable victory over Holbeach United in the FA Cup as well as away wins in the league over Wellingborough and Kempston.
