Our Opponents
Formed in 1886, Kings Langley Football Club is one of the oldest clubs in Hertfordshire. They moved into Gaywood Park in 1997, and were then able to move from local leagues to the Spartan South Midlands league in 2001. They gained promotion to the Southern Football League last season by winning the Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division at their first attempt, having gained promotion from Division One the previous season. They won the league by 10 points, scoring 127 league goals in the process. They have made an excellent start to life at Step 4, and, like the Diamonds, are in contention for back-to-back promotions – in fact they are looking for their third promotion in a row.
They are known as the Kings and are managed by ex R&DFC player Richie Hanlon and Paul Hughes. Their website is here, and their Twitter feed here. They play in white and black.
The Diamonds were narrow winners in The Emirates FA Cup game at Gaywood Park earlier this season – report here, and the league game ended as a 1-1 draw.

There is always a need for additional volunteers to help with ongoing maintenance and matchday work, as detailed here.
