FA Cup Extra Preliminary Round

Friday 15th August 2014

AFC Rushden & Diamonds v Oxhey Jets

AFC Rushden & Diamonds will start their second campaign in the FA Cup by hosting Oxhey Jets at the Dog & Duck on Friday evening. The game has been switched to a Friday night to allow the venue to host two FA Cup games this weekend. The Jets play in the Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division, which is a Step 5 league equivalent to the UCL Premier.

Please note this game will kick off at 8pm on Friday evening.

Diamonds fans will have many memories of last season’s run in the competition, but one of these will be their opening game last season when they might easily have gone out of the competition at the first hurdle at London Colney – opposition from the same division as the Jets.

The winners of the tie will host Bedford Town in the FA Cup Preliminary Round on the weekend of 30th August. You can see more information on this season’s FA Cup on the FA Website here including Round Dates, List of Entries Accepted, List of Exemptions, Prize Fund and full draws for the Extra Preliminary Round, Preliminary Round and First Round Qualifying.

This is an all-pay game. Entrances prices for this game are the normal cup tie £6 Adults, £3 Concessions (Over 60s, students, U16s) and £1 U8s.

Should scores be level after 90 minutes there will be a replay at The Boundary Stadium, South Oxhey on Tuesday 19th August (KO 7:30pm).

N.B. As this is a game in an FA competition, the FA rules regarding alcohol must be observed, meaning that no alcohol can be consumed outside of the clubhouse, and to ensure this there will be no alcohol sales from 7:45pm until the game is finished – please help us by observing this rule.
