Our Opponents

Peterborough Northern Star Football Club was formed in the early 20th Century as a team for the Northam Brickworks in Eye and the Star Brickworks in Peterborough. In the early 1950s they were renamed as Eye United. They joined the United Counties League in 2003, and in 2005 re-adopted their original name of Peterborough Northern Star. After being successful several times in UCL Division One, they were promoted to the Premier Division in 2010. Two seasons ago they reached the quarter-final of the FA Vase. The Star club website is here, and they have recently introduced a Twitter feed here, although that seems to have been usurped by an alternate feed here. Their home colours are white shirts and black shorts, and they are managed by the team of Michael Goode and Darren Jarvis. This season they occupied a mid-table position in the UCL Premier, and knocked local rivals Yaxley out of the FA Cup and FA Vase, before losing to Wroxham and Harrowby United in those competitions. They reached the second round of the NFA Hillier Cup with victory over Kettering Town. Ex-RDFC player Luke Kennedy plays in their midfield.
