Our Opponents

Sleaford Town FC was formed in 1968, and after a period in Lincolnshire Leagues they joined the UCL in 2004. They were promoted to the UCL Premier in 2007.

The Town play in green shirts and black shorts, and are currently managed on a temporary basis by Terry Fleming. Diamonds fans will recall that Sleaford manager Kris Jones was seriously injured in a car accident shortly before the start of the season. Further details about the club can be found on their website here. Their Twitter feed is here.

The Greens have had a rather mixed season, with some eye catching results, including a 5-3 victory over Wellingborough Town at the Dog & Duck just before Christmas, followed by a 5-4 victory over Boston Town early in the new year.

Earlier this season the Diamonds travelled to Eslaforde Park and recorded a 2-0 victory – see here. Last season’s game at the Dog & Duck was in August 2013 with the Diamonds recording a 5-1 win – report here.
