AFC Rushden & Diamonds v Wealdstone FC

Please note that there has been extensive remodelling of both the pedestrian and vehicular access to the ground over the summer – please follow designated routes. There is also continuing work in London Road which will also result in some local parking restrictions.

Admission to the game will be £5 adults and £3 concessions.

See below for details of all the social media options for following the Diamonds, as well as details on Radio Diamonds.

Our Opponents

Wealdstone FC play in the Conference South (now known as the National League South), where they finished in 12th place last season. They are known as the Stones, and were formed in 1899, going on to be one of the premier non-league sides in the country, winning League and Cup competitions before becoming founder members of what was to be known as the Football Conference. They won the league and FA Trophy Double in 1985 before financial issues caused them to spend a period in lower leagues before return to the Conference South in 2014.

This will be the first meeting between the two sides.

The Stones website is here and their twitter feed is here. They are managed by Gordon Bartlett.

Ex-R&DFC players Michael Corcoran and Jefferson Louis are currently on the Stones’ books, as is the well-travelled Scott McGleish.

There is always a need for additional volunteers to help with ongoing maintenance and matchday work, as detailed here.
