AFC Rushden & Diamonds Youth, part of the Diamonds’ Community Section, are very pleased to announce yet more fantastic football opportunities for Girls at our Club.
Due to the overwhelming interest seen from girls joining our U12 and U14 training sessions and teams, we will be looking to introduce training sessions for the following age groups over the coming weeks.
- U7/8 (Years 1&2) – ‘Little Diamondettes’ (Format is being decided, but will be football/fun based) – leading to more football development from U9 (Years 3&4) onwards.
- U9 (Years 3&4) & U10 (Years 4&5) – These would be our pure development groups, and our plan after a few weeks would be to assemble small teams of girls and enter them into the various development tournaments being planned at the moment by the Northants Women and Girls Football League and Northants FA.
All our coaches are minimum Level 1 qualified, trained in child safeguarding, emergency first aid and have undergone DBS (CRB) checks.
All our sessions (all age groups) focus very heavily on the FA 4-corner model – Technical, Psychological, Physical and Social elements – in simple terms, football is excellent for fitness, self-esteem, confidence, making new friends, being part of a team and most of all great fun !
If you think your daughter, granddaughter, sister or niece would like to try one of these sessions being offered at AFC Rushden & Diamonds then please don’t hesitate to contact our Girls Football Lead, Kevin Bull, via the contact form on www.afcdiamondsyouth.com, our official Facebook (AFC R&D Community Club) page or directly on 07926 903221.
