AFC Rushden & Diamonds U18s / MAA continued their rich vein of form as they defeated Central Nottingham College 2-0 in a feisty game.
Ryan Kirk and Chris Knapp both scored to give Diamonds the victory that keeps them top of the East Midlands College Division.
First team manager Andy Peaks took charge of the game with Darren Purse absent.
Central College Nottingham started the game with ten players and the game was abandoned on 80 minutes as the home team had received their second red card in the game. The referee felt the game shouldn’t continue 11 against 8 so called full-time and the result stands.
Next up for the scholars is a top-of-the-table clash against Thomas Beckett College.
