We are desperately seeking volunteers to run our AFCRDTV service for the forthcoming season.
Following last season’s ustream trials the club had hoped to be able to offer a subscription-based match streaming service this season. This would have been able to generate income to help fund additional equipment and support staff for AFCRDTV to cover for a shortage of volunteers. Having initially being granted permission by the FA, the Northern Premier League checked with UEFA only to find there is a blanket ban on live broadcasting of games on Saturdays between 2.45pm and 5.15pm. This means this live service cannot be offered, and this additional revenue for AFCRDTV will not be forthcoming.
Without further volunteers the AFCRDTV highlights service will not run this season. If we find just a couple of volunteers to help with filming or editing we could potentially run a full or partial service.
Can you offer 30 minutes to film a match once a month? Do you have editing skills that you could offer to edit match highlights for one match per month?
Free or discounted away travel on the coach could be offered to a volunteer camera person covering an away game.
