AFC Rushden & Diamonds travel into Bedfordshire to face Ampthill Town on Tuesday evening. The Amps were promoted from Step 6 to Step 5 for the start of last season, and played in the same league as the Diamonds forthcoming FA Cup and FA Vase opponents.
Our Opponents
Ampthill Town play in the Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division, which is a step 5 league equivalent to the UCL Premier. They have had recent success in the FA Vase, reaching the last 16 last season, and the fourth round the previous season when they were still a step 6 club. They are managed by Craig Bicknell.
