An Update on Radio Diamonds

Radio Diamonds enjoyed a very successful 2021/22 campaign. The official radio station of AFC Rushden & Diamonds covered every competitive game in all competitions last season – the first time this has been achieved since the club was formed in 2011.

The listening figures showed a steady growth across the season. Our broadcasts regularly averaged 70 listeners per game which occasionally surpassed 100.

The Radio Diamonds team would like to place on record their gratitude and thanks for your tremendous support throughout the season.

Radio Diamonds are looking to evolve their content as we head into the 2022/23 season and plans are ongoing to develop the broadcasts further.

We are aiming to include the following:

Halftime Shows

Trialled during the final matches of last season, Radio Diamonds are looking to extend their broadcasts to provide full coverage of the matchday with the addition of halftime shows.

These shows may consist of match analysis, news updates, interviews with special guests and more!

Radio Diamonds Phone

In previous years, the Radio Diamonds phone has enabled supporters to text in and interact with the show. However, this was not possible last season due to technical difficulties.

We are delighted to announce the return of the Radio Diamonds phone for the 2022/23 season! Our new mobile number will be live soon.

Listen Back to the Action

Radio Diamonds will be publishing all broadcasts (exc. friendlies) on Mixlr from next season which will allow supporters to listen back to the excitement and the drama of the action.

Once they are published, you can access the broadcasts by heading over to the Radio Diamonds website on Mixlr and clicking on Showreel Items.

The easiest way to listen to Radio Diamonds is by downloading the Mixlr app and following the official account by searching ‘radiodiamondsafc’. By doing this, you will receive live, clickable notifications when the team are on-air which take you directly to the stream.
