AFCdiamonds.com caught up with manager Andy Peaks recently to get his thoughts during the current testing time.
Peaks said “First and foremost I hope everyone is staying safe in the current difficult circumstances, the health of everyone at this time is the most important thing.
“The way the season has currently ended has been a bit strange for me as the manager, and I know it has been the same for my team and the players. I have been in regular contact with everyone. I’ve told the players I would like them all back next season, whenever that may be. We have a great bunch of players with a great spirit.
“I’d like to thank the supporters and members who have done a superb task at raising cash for the club in this hour of need. I think the club have got it spot on with their requests for help with the various ways that can be done. I know the players would also like to help whenever they can. I have entered the lottery myself, and I would like to congratulate Ellie on winning the first draw.
“Finally, we will get through this. Nobody has to tell me how special this Club is. We’ve got to where we are from rock bottom, through the constant efforts of the magnificent members and supporters, so please keep helping in any way you can, and I look forward to seeing you all in the future.”
