At a Board meeting on 27th September, a motion was put forward to co-opt Laura Seekings onto the Board of Directors for the current year. This motion was unanimously agreed by all Board Members.
Laura, who is well known to many around the Club, narrowly missed out on election to the Board this year, but formally applied for consideration for the role of Director of Administration when the Co-options were advertised following the AGM. Predominantly, Laura will provide secretarial support to Club Secretary Nikki Roberts, whilst also overseeing the administration of the Club’s Part Ownership platform.
On her appointment Laura said “I’ve been wanting to assist the Club in some way for a while now and I’m delighted to be able to join as administrative director.
In my day job I need to be responsive, efficient and reliable, which are all things that I’ll be able to transfer into this new role at the Club with ease, but I’m also willing to learn and help in any area that’s required of me.”
Club Chair, Rob Usher commented “I’m absolutely delighted that Laura is joining our team, she’ll provide a huge injection of organisational efficiency and provide administrative support in some key areas of the Club. She’s Diamonds through and through and I know I speak on behalf of all of the Board when I say that we’re really pleased to have her on board.”
The Club is still actively recruiting for two further co-opted positions, Director of Academy and Director of Grants and Fundraising.
