Arron Parkinson has signed for Daventry Town for the rest of the season in order to play regular first team football.
Manager Andy Peaks told afcdiamonds.com : “I am really gutted to see Parky leave as he brings so much to the club on and off the pitch. I have thoroughly enjoyed working with him over the last two years and I genuinely would like to place on record my thanks to him. I do understand the reasons why he has left, as at his stage of his career you just want to be playing as much as you can. That’s something which, at the moment, I just couldn’t offer him.
“The door is always open to Arron whilst he continues to play, and also when he hangs up his boots, and I am sure I will keep in touch with him as he follows the rest of our season with interest.”
Arron was the 31st player to appear for the Diamonds when he made his debut in February 2013, and he went on to appear 51 times for the club, scoring 4 goals.
The club would like to thank Arron for everything over the last two years and we wish him all the best.
