Following a poll on AFCDiamonds.com, the Player of the Month for August 2019 is Ben Acquaye.
The award is sponsored by P.W. House Jewellers of Rushden, who are continuing a long tradition of sponsoring this award, going back many years with R&DFC. Their business has been part of life in Rushden High Street for the last 65 years, having been Rushden’s Family Jewellers for over 70 years.
Ben was presented with his award by Roy Linsell prior to the Diamonds home game against Royston Town.
Ben wins the award following a number of powerful performances in the opening games of the season, including an excellent individual goal against Leiston FC.
