Following a poll on AFCDiamonds.com, the winner of the August 2017 Player of the Month award is Nabil Shariff. Nabil wins the first award of the 2017-18 season, following his fine goalscoring form for the club during the month, scoring seven goals, netting a brace in each of the first three league games.
Nabil received his award from Mark Rust prior to the home game against Arlesey Town.
The award is sponsored by P.W. House Jewellers of Rushden, who are continuing a long tradition of sponsoring this award, going back many years with R&DFC. Their business has been part of life in Rushden High Street for the last 65 years, having been Rushden’s Family Jewellers for over 70 years.
