Our Opponents

The Moles were originally founded in London shortly before the Second World War, but moved to Aylesbury in 1949 when they were known as Stocklake FC. At the turn of the millennium they merged with Belgrave FC to be known as Haywood United, playing at Haywood Way, Aylesbury and then joined the Spartan South Midlands League. In 2005 they changed their name to Aylesbury Vale FC, and a further change to Aylesbury FC preceded their promotion to the Southern League in 2010.

Aylesbury’s strip is red shirts with black shorts. Their website is here and their twitter feed here. They are managed by Steve Bateman.

Getting There

AFC Rushden & Diamonds Travel is not running a supporters’ coach for this fixture.

Aylesbury FC play at Haywood Way, Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire HP19 9WZ. For directions for the trip of around 40 miles from the Dog and Duck see here. Haywood Way is in a built-up area, with surrounding roads being narrow, and local parking can be an issue.

The ground is on the north-west edge of Aylesbury, two miles from the Town Centre, from where it can be reached by bus (Bus 2 or 5)
