On Boxing Day AFC Rushden & Diamonds will travel to the outskirts of Bedford to face Bedford Town in the Southern Football League Division One Central. This will be the Diamonds last game of a successful 2015.

Our Opponents
Local rivals Bedford Town were formed in 1989 after the demise of the original Eagles folded in 1982, and reached Conference South level in 2006 before dropping down into the Southern League Premier the following season, and into Division One in 2014.

The New Eyrie is on the outskirts of Bedford, towards Cardington, on the road from Bedford to Sandy (MK44 3SB) – see here for a map and directions.
With this being a Boxing Day game there is no reasonable public transport option.
