Bedworth United v AFC Rushden & Diamonds – Monday 2nd January 2017

AFC Rushden & Diamonds will play their next game in the Northern Premier League First Division South on Monday afternoon as they start 2017 with a visit to face Bedworth United (KO 3pm). This will be the Diamonds 21st game of the season, and thus completes the first half of the season.

Bedworth United play at The Oval, Miners Welfare Park, Coventry Rd, Bedworth CV12 8NN. Directions for the 44 mile trip can be found here.

Local directions are as follows: Exit M6 at Junction 3 and take the turning signed B4113 Longford/Bedworth At the next roundabout turn left towards Bedworth B4113 Go straight through 2 sets of traffic lights (not including pedestrian crossings) and Bedworth United FC is signposted on your right hand side.

They had a 3G pitch installed at The Oval in 2014. This will be the Diamonds first league game on such a surface, although they did play on a 3G surface at Hendon in the FA Cup. There are still trips to Basford and Romulus who also play on this type of pitch.

Admission Prices are adults £9, with Concessions and Children £6. Cars can be parked at the ground but spaces are limited. Alternative parking can be found in the town centre car parks two minutes from the ground. There are two entrances to the ground one being the main gate where you will find the club shop with a small amount of car parking available the other being the top gate which is nearest the town and council car parks just inside the Miners Welfare Park. The Oval has a Social club, with a licensed bar, with visiting fans welcome. There are refreshments including hot food available at the ground. The club is not running a coach to this fixture.
