Hello and thanks for once again for taking the time to read my weekly update on how we are continuing to deal with the financial issues facing AFC Rushden and Diamonds. Since the initial suspension of football in March the Board have been meeting weekly. Our meeting on Wednesday was the latest round of looking at ways of reducing the current shortfall in next season’s finances and getting us into a solvent state for this new financial year. Thanks to the kind support of so many people reading this, we are making steady progress in terms of getting the numbers to look manageable, although there is still a lot more work to do. As we start the new financial year next week there are some important actions I would ask you to consider taking to help the Club.
Club2020, a brand-new initiative, will launch next week and will be a unique opportunity for supporters, individually or as a small group, to kick start the next phase of revenue generation for the Club during this momentous and difficult year. It will give you the opportunity to do something different for AFC Rushden and Diamonds which will have a legacy long into the future.
For those of you who have not had the opportunity to either renew your season ticket or buy one for the first time, for the next couple of days you can still take advantage of the early bird season ticket offer. Until Sunday night all season tickets will qualify for a significant discount giving you even more value as follows:
- Adult season tickets are only £159. From Monday this goes up to £199.
- Concessions are only £110. From Monday this goes up to £145.

Membership is a great way of supporting the Club and can be purchased at the same time as your season ticket in one single transaction. For only £25 all Adult and Concession Members over 16 can vote on important matters affecting the Club along with a range of additional offers including 10% off all Shop Purchases. The Team Building Lottery continues to grow. We had our 200th membership this week and are targeting 250 memberships before the scheduled start of the season. Now is the perfect time to make sure you are in the May Draw – the first Quarterly prize draw. This is a vital initiative, originating from a supporter’s idea, that will contribute immensely to our 2020-2021 season and beyond. 50% of the funds raised by the Team Building Lottery will go direct to supplementing the playing budget with the remaining 50% going into the prize fund.
