Charity Football Match – Sunday 24th May 2015

On Sunday 24th May 2015, the AFC Rushden & Diamonds Community Coaches will have a side competing in a Charity Football match as part of a Charity Fundraising initiative at Kennedys in Finedon.

The opponents of the AFC Rushden & Diamonds Community 11 will be ‘The London to Cardiff 11’ who are organizing the event. This side is made up of a group of friends, some of which will be cycling 180 miles from Wembley Stadium London to The Millennium Stadium Cardiff in March 2016. This Football Match has been organised by these guys to raise awareness and money for their future cycling event which they will be doing to raise funds for ‘Niamh’s Next Step’.

Kick off for the full duration 11 aside match will be 12:30, with other entertainment for families and children taking place throughout the day such as face-painting, penalty shoot-out and the communities very own target game, as seen at half-time at the Wellingborough Town First team home match this season.

The bar will be open with food available to, with the last Premier League games of the season being shown at 3pm following the Charity Match.
