Club Statement

Following our final league fixture of the 2013/14 season at S&L Corby, the Club has, in conjunction with Northamptonshire Police, carried out a full investigation into an incident involving some of our supporters and the throwing of a smoke bomb onto the pitch. As a result, the Club has banned 2 supporters for a period of 3 years from all AFC Rushden & Diamonds home fixtures. In addition, the Club will be sharing these details with all opponents prior to League or Cup away matches.

The Club has been charged by the NFA in relation to this issue. AFC Rushden & Diamonds remain committed to providing a safe environment for all supporters to watch football and will take robust action against any person who threatens the safety and reputation of both our supporters and the Club itself in this manner.

We will continue to work closely with Northamptonshire Police, the NFA and the UCL over the forthcoming season to ensure AFC Rushden & Diamonds fixtures are enjoyed by everyone.
