As supporters will know, our Hillier Senior Cup semi-final tie against Peterborough United U23 was recently postponed for a second time due to the ongoing inclement weather.
This second postponement has triggered a clause in competition rules that states that the Northants FA can reverse the fixture. However, competition rules also state that Peterborough United U23 will only play away from home.
Following a meeting of the County Cup Committee at the Northants FA yesterday, AFC Rushden & Diamonds can confirm that the re-scheduled fixture has been arranged for Thursday, 4th April with a 7:45 pm kick-off.
To ensure that the game goes ahead, the tie will take place at The Dog & Duck, home of Wellingborough Town Football Club.
Both the date and venue of this tie has been determined by the Northants FA. AFC Rushden & Diamonds thanks the NFA for their support in this matter and supports this outcome.
