Club Statement

The Board is disappointed to report that, towards the end of the match versus Nuneaton Borough FC on August 17th 2019, a supporter entered the field of play by jumping over the pitch perimeter barrier. The supporter’s actions were clearly seen by our matchday team who reported it to the Board and it has also been reported to The FA by the match officials.

The Board has conducted an investigation into the incident and, with the support of Northants Police Football Liaison Officer PC Brooks-Payne, the supporter involved has been banned from all home games for a period of 1 year.

Additionally, a second supporter has received a warning about their behaviour at future matches following several reports of the excessive use of foul and abusive language.

Supporters are reminded that entry into Hayden Road constitutes acceptance of the ground regulations which are displayed at the turnstiles and can also be found here – https://www.afcdiamonds.com/afc-rushden-diamonds-ground-regulations.

Whilst we thank the vast majority of our supporters who create a warm and welcoming atmosphere at Hayden Road, all supporters are reminded that the Club will not tolerate poor behaviour at any of our games, home or away, and will act swiftly to identify and ban any supporter whose behaviour brings the Club into disrepute.
