AFC Rushden & Diamonds are delighted to announce the appointment of Daniel Porter to the position of Assistant Manager.
Dan is well known on the Northamptonshire Non-League scene having played for Raunds Town, Wellingborough Town and Bugbrooke St. Michaels, going on to serve as Assistant Manager for the latter. However, many will know of Dan through his role as Manager of Sunday side AFC Hackleton, where successes include winning the league last season and leading the side to the national semi-finals.
Speaking on joining AFC Rushden & Diamonds, Dan said: “I’m delighted to join Diamonds. After speaking to both Rob and Michael it was a perfect fit for myself. I hope to add to the great work that was done at the back end of last season. Hopefully, we can improve on everything that is already in place here and have a successful season.”
Michael Harriman was keen to move quickly to appoint Dan amongst interest from other clubs: “I’m absolutely delighted to be bringing Dan into the management team for next season, he brings a wealth of knowledge at this level which is vital for us moving forward. He further adds to that winning mentality that we have built our foundations on and we as a group look forward to seeing where we can lead the football club next season.”
