It is with regret that the Club has received, and subsequently accepted, the resignation from the Board of Directors and other club duties of David Bland, owing to personal circumstances.
Joining the Board following the Club Election Notice of June 2022, Dave has served officially as the Club’s Matchday Director, whilst also assuming the lead role of the Volunteer Working Group.
Amongst his many successes, Dave was integral to the efforts that saw us partner with local charity Encompass and operate as a food bank collection point last season.
Dave will remain in post until the end of this month (September 2023), supporting in a handover of the Volunteer Working Group and also the match planning for our home game versus Hinckley LRFC on 30th September, following which, Rod Brown, who has recently committed to supporting the Board in a casual capacity, will become Matchday Director and Lorraine Brown will become the Lead for the Volunteer Working Group.
Following Dave’s resignation, the Club Board retains a quorum, in line with the constitution and as such, no election is required at this time. The Board of Directors, however, welcomes the support of any who wish to come forward and support in a casual role and those wishing to do so are urged to contact Rob Usher or Alex Raspin directly.
