AFC Rushden & Diamonds are delighted to announce the signings of Jack Wisniewski and Elliot Dent as Manager Mark Starmer continues to shape his squad ahead of the 2012-13 United Counties League Divison One campaign.
Jack Wisniewski is a 22 year old winger who joins from Burton Park Wanderers after a successful 2011-12 season at Latimer Park, finishing as the club’s top scorer with 20 goals in league and cup. He has also previously played for Thrapston Town.
Elliot Dent is a name that will be familiar to many Diamonds fans having been part of Mark Starmer’s League and Cup winning Rushden & Diamonds Under 18 squad in the 2010/11 season. Having spent a brief spell at Spalding United in 2011, he signed for Peterborough Northern Star going on to make 14 appearances in the United Counties League Premier Division.
Both players featured for AFC R&D in Saturday’s friendly match away at St Neots Town FC with Wisniewski scoring and being named Man of the Match, whilst Dent came on as an early second-half substitute and impressed with an assured display in midfield.
