AFC Rushden & Diamonds have completed the signing of Jamie Gilsenan who has joined the club from Thrapston Town.
Jamie is a 36-year-old midfielder with extensive UCL experience playing for Desborough Town and Stewarts and Lloyds, as well having played at Southern League level for Corby Town and Stamford. He faced the Diamonds whilst playing for Thrapston a fortnight ago.
AFC R&D Manager Mark Starmer commented on the signing, confirming that he will be involved on Saturday, saying that he was impressed in what he saw when the Diamonds faced Thrapston, and thought he would bring something different to the midfield. He would like to thank Ian at Thrapston for allowing this move to go ahead this week.
