AFC Rushden & Diamonds Academy player Ben Peaks has been selected to play for the Junior Premier League Representative team, following a number of impressive performances for the Diamonds U15 side, helping them to second place in their league with a 100% record. Ben is the son of Diamonds Assistant Manager Andy Peaks, and like his father he plays in defence. He played in his first game for the Representative team against Stoke City’s Academy Side, and even scored one of the goals in a 3-2 victory!
Diamonds U18 player Jake Reynolds has been in impressive goalscoring form this season, netting hat-tricks in his last two NSYL games at the Dog & Duck. After his latest hat-trick against Cogenhoe United U18 on Monday night he signed senior forms for the club, making him eligible to play in UCL games. Jake celebrated his 17th birthday last month.
One other item of squad news is that goalkeeper Domenico Roggero has also signed senior forms, and was included in the matchday squad at Eynesbury Rovers last weekend. Domenico was born in Monza, Italy and had his nineteenth birthday last week. He has played for the junior sides at Daventry Town and Kettering Town.
