Our Opponents

Enfield Town was the first wholly supporter owned and run club in the country. The club was formed after problems at Enfield FC meant their ground was sold and they were forced to play out of the borough. They were formed in 2001, and finally moved to a new home at the Queen Elizabeth II Stadium in Enfield ten years later. The ground is a restored athletics stadium with a notable Art Deco-style clubhouse (which opened in 1953), and it demonstrates how a multi-use facility can work, with the local council also heavily involved with the restoration project..

They reached Step 3 level in 2012, and were controversially denied a chance to enter the play-offs for promotion to step 2 at the end of last season.

Like the Diamonds, Town stress their role as a Community Club with an aim of spreading football throughout the community.

The Town website is here and their twitter feed is here. They are managed by Bradley Quinton and play in white shirts and blue shorts.
