We are pleased to confirm that Evangelos-Nikalaos Empochontsif has signed a contract for the 2022/23 Southern League season after having impressed in pre-season for the Club.
Andy Burgess commented: “Evan has shown throughout pre-season that he has lots of fantastic attributes as a left-sided central defender. He’s come in and worked very hard, is a humble and polite lad and someone we feel we can work with to develop him further.
He still has lots to learn and Chris Willmott will be very beneficial for him – as a former Premier League centre back, Chris has so much experience and knowledge to pass on and he has already done lots of good work with all our young defenders.
We feel it’s important to show a commitment to our young players and we’ve done just that with Evan. He’s the type we want to attract and work with and I’m delighted we’ve agreed a deal for him to sign a contract with us.”
