The draw for the Semi-Final of The FA Vase was broadcast live on talkSPORT on Monday 4th March, and the two teams from the North East have been kept apart. Spennymoor will play Guernsey, and Shildon will play Tunbridge Wells. The two southern teams will be at home in the first legs on 23rd March, with the return legs the following weekend.
The additional publicity for the competition is part of the FA’s aim to get all competing clubs more involved with the competition as a whole, and to help in selling more tickets for the Final, to ensure that the Final can remain at Wembley.
The FA will follow this up by sending details on the arrangements for the Vase Final to participating clubs and leagues across the country. The Final will take place at Wembley Stadium on Saturday 4th May 2013, kick off 3pm.
The ticket prices for this year’s final have been reduced to £15 for adults and £5 for under 16’s with all tickets now able to be purchased direct from The FA.com and not solely through the finalists as was the case in previous seasons.
