Fazel Koriya has signed for Rugby Town – one of his former clubs.
Diamonds Manager Andy Peaks commented: “I would like to thank Fazel for everything he has done for the club in the last 18 months – he has been crucial at times for us. However at his age he wants to be playing week in and week out and he knew his options would be limited with us at the moment. Rugby came in for him, he knows the club well and he goes with our best wishes”.
Fazel was the 35th player to appear for AFC Rushden & Diamonds, making his debut on 10th August 2013, and in total he played 70 times for the club, scoring 34 goals.
Fazel will be in the Valley squad for their game at Biggleswade this evening.
The club would like to thank Fazel for his contribution over the last one and a half seasons and we wish him all the best.
