Senior Team 

For the 2017/18 Season, AFC Rushden & Diamonds played in the Southern League South, East, known for this season as the EVO-STIK League South, East, as well as the following cup competitions. 

  • Emirates FA Cup
  • Buildbase FA Trophy
  • Northants FA Hillier Senior Cup
  • Southern League Challenge Cup.

The League Fixtures were released at 9am on Thursday 13th July, and are detailed here, with the season starting on Saturday 12th August, running until Saturday 28th April 2018. Play off semi-finals will be on Wednesday 2nd May, with the final on Monday 7th May. Details of the promotion and relegation rules for this season, including possible play-off procedures, can be found here.
 

The Diamonds entered the Emirates FA Cup at the Preliminary Round stage, where they defeated Wellingborough Town 4-0. In the First Qualifying Round they travelled to face Tividale FC on September 2nd winning 3-2, before losing in a replay to Alfreton Town.

 
The Diamonds entered the Buildbase FA Trophy at the Preliminary Round stage, losing to Kidsgrove Athletic.

In the League Cup, the Diamonds defeated Kettering Town 3-2 in the second round in November, following an earlier victory over St Neots Town, before losing on penalties to Hitchin Town in the third round.
 
The Diamonds defeated Wellingborough Town on November 7th in the NFA Hillier Senior Cup Quarter Final after defeating Wellingborough Whitworth in an earlier round. They then lost on penalties Kettering Town in February 2018.

Junior Teams
 
The Diamonds / MAA partnership will again field a team in the National League Youth Alliance in 2017/18 where they will play in Division H. You will find their complete fixture and results list in the appropriate section on this website shortly, and see the Youth Alliance fixtures, results and league table here.
 
In the FA Youth Cup, AFC Rushden & Diamonds / MAA U18 will host Rushden & Higham Utd U18.
 
The AFC R&D Elite team will play in the Midland Football League U21 Division East in 2017/18. Details of the fixtures for the Diamonds Elite side will be in the appropriate section on this website shortly. They play at Islip Sports Field – see here for directions – where there will be refreshments and other facilities available at the games, so supporters are encouraged to attend.
