Senior Team 

For the 2018/19 Season, AFC Rushden & Diamonds played in the Southern League Premier Division Central at Step 3 of Non-League Football,  as well as the following cup competitions. 

  • Emirates FA Cup
  • Buildbase FA Trophy
  • Northants FA Hillier Senior Cup
  • Southern League Challenge Cup.

The League season started on Saturday 11th August, running until Saturday 27th April 2019. Play off semi-finals will be on Wednesday 1st May, with the final on Monday 6th May. Details of the promotion and relegation rules for this season, including possible play-off procedures, are here.
After defeating Deeping Rangers 3-0 in the Preliminary Round Replay of the Emirates FA Cup, the Diamonds went out of the competition at Hayes & Yeading United in the First Qualifying Round on September 8th.
In the Buildbase FA Trophy AFC Rushden & Diamonds lost 2-0 at Witton Albion in the Second Qualifying Round on November 10th after they had defeated St Ives Town in the First Qualifying Round.
The Diamonds were given a bye through to the First Round of the Southern Football League Challenge Cup where they were knocked out by Kempston Rovers on Tuesday 2nd October. 
In the first round of the NFA Hillier Cup the Diamonds travelled to face Peterborough Northern Star, recording a 2-0 victory. They then hosted Northampton ON Chenecks in Round 2, recording a 1-0 victory, before defeating Cogenhoe United 6-0 at Hayden Rd in the semi-final. They lost on penalties to Brackley Town in the Final of this competition, on 2nd April at Sixfields.

Junior Teams
In addition to the AFC R&D / MAA U18 setup there will be two new U18 squads under the Academy umbrella for the 2018/19 season: 

The existing AFC R&D / MAA U18s will continue as in previous seasons in the Football Conference Youth Alliance and will represent the Club in the FA and NFA Cup competitions. See here for details of the FA Youth Cup.

The U21 Elite Squad will continue to play in the Midland Football League U21 setup.
