Fundraising Auction in aid of Leicester Royal Infirmary

Corby Town assistant manager Dave Clarke is organising a fundraising auction on eBay to raise money for the Leicester Royal Infirmary during January.

AFC Rushden & Diamonds are happy to support this fundraising by passing on the details of the auction to their fans via www.afcdiamonds.com, using the information courtesy of the Corby Town Website.

Clarke told corbytownfc.co.uk; “2015 was a roller coaster ride for me personally. I was diagnosed with leukaemia in September and recieved amazing treatment from the cancer ward at the Leicester Royal Infirmary. I would like to raise money for the ward so I can buy them some fitness equipment which will be used by the long term patients who are fighting their own battles with cancer.

“To do this I have asked my friends in football to provide signed football shirts. A particularly good guy Tom, the lead singer of Kasabian has also signed his own personal jacket to auction.

“The various items will be on eBay from 11th January and I hope to raise as much money as possible.”

All of the items were signed during November and December 2015 and the full list of products being auctioned includes;

  • Tom Meighan (Kasabian) personal signed jacket from their Teenage Cancer Trust gig
  • Signed Leicester City shirt by record breaker Jamie Vardy
  • Signed Leicester City Shirt
  • Signed Kasper Schmeichel goalkeeper gloves, both palms signed
  • Signed Fulham shirt
  • Signed Derby County shirt
  • Signed Nottingham Forest shirt
  • Signed Birmingham City shirt
  • Signed Port Vale shirt
  • Signed Leyton Orient shirt

All items for auction will be available from Monday 11th January on Dave’s eBay account dave85clarkey2015

He has also set up a just giving page if you are not interested in the auction items but would like to support and help raise money to provide the Leicester Royal Infirmary cancer ward with fitness equipment for their long term patients.
